please find enclosed the latest body fusion release from label head bobby analog. for this record we have returned to our favoured format of three tracks spread across two sides. the a side features a foray into hip house with some sass and features lots of dx100 bass and m1 keys and strings. on the b side europa kicks things off with lots of juno arpeggiators, chords and 808’s in a homage to our italo friends. we finished things off on the flip with a twisted distorted warped love song. proceeds from the sale of this record go to the struggle to re-unify europe.

second up on our bobby boyd unreleased recording we have some dope mid 80s material from bobby, “i like what you do to me” is boogie / proto house joint that is totally my bag, feels like it should be in a 80s movie weightlifting montage (in a good way) it just works on the dance floor so well.
on the flip things get even stronger with the proto-house banger “girl like you” a sick soulful number with with a biggest swinging kick drum i have ever heard, both proper club material.

shall i call you bobby? the second release on the swedish label jack trax on wax. on this release produced by tsr and joseph garber we have five versions of the track ”shall i call you bobby?” and one bonus track made with some help from the swedish synth duo engine one ”jack bobby jack!”. we are also happy to announce two remixes made by some great friends and producers.

louisiana soul singer bobby king first recorded as a solo artist in 1973 for the reprise label where he also sang for ry cooder. in 1981 he switched to the main warner brorthers imprint and recorded what has become for soul fans a most highly regarded self-titled album. “if you don’t want my love” became a single, an original pressing for this ‘modern’ dancefloor record recently onsale for £300. it is coupled with an exceptuional track from the album “lovers by night” not previously available on 7” vinyl.

needs is a new label that bills itself as a not-for profit concern, which may apply to many record labels, but this one in particular calls upon a strong cast of deep house producers to impart the kind of smallville-friendly sounds that discerning heads should snap up in a heartbeat. hubie davisons i know is a melancholic affair with heart nagging strings, while johannes albert injects a little spice into proceedings with a choice breakbeat and some excellent bird song on vigilia. dj swaggers 21st century slow jam is a peppy little shuffler with warm acidic bass and a kick ass swing in the beat, and then bobby pleasure finishes the record off with the wistful but tech-edged cloudspotting.

the album’s title makes a direct and heartfelt reference to a real-life l.a. musician, long presumed dead, who resurfaced online in 2007 after 35 reclusive years to pen his autobiography and tragic life story in a series of blogs and youtube tirades. “his book and life resonated with me to such a degree,” pink states, “that i felt a need to dedicate my latest record to him.”

the second release from bobby analog’s body fusion imprint follows in the footsteps of the first with heavily swung drums, some creative sample manipulation and a lot of soul. three tracks laced with tough 909’s, tape driven bongos, some lovely strings, an organ and even a touch of acid.

the third release on the emergent dreamtime label finds bobby bricks and miskotom sharing precious wax space with their own takes on laid back balearic house. bricks is up first, laying down a laid back house chugger propelled by fluttering synth lines that have spent time soaking up plenty of vitamin d. amazon blue does away with the drums for much of the tune, letting the new age synth tones do all the work before a mellow set of percussion comes loping in. miskotom has a more nocturnal feel at work on star master, but it s no less plush in its execution, while ad lucem ramps up fretless bass licks and plastic flute tones for another blissful excursion onto the astral plane.
